From an early age, Prof. Rashid has had a passion for education. He understands the importance of educating the youth and upholds the idea that this is the only way for a country to progress. That is why even as a young doctor, he joined the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology of his alma mater Nishtar Medical College. Prof. Rashid has made great strides in advancing the healthcare industry of Pakistan. Besides being the first surgeon to perform an endoscopic surgery in Pakistan, he also accomplished the incredible feat of creating the first successful IVF pregnancy in South Asia. Prof. Rashid spent considerable time as Dean of Postgraduates at Post Graduates Medical Institutes (PGMI) Lahore. He was also the founder and president of the South Asian Federation of Obstetrics and Gynecology (SAFOG) as well as the past president of The Society of Obstetricians & Gynecologists of Pakistan (SOGP) His efforts in innovating the healthcare industry have been recognized by the government of Pakistan and has been awarded the Sitara-i-Imtiaz.
